The Role
Foxleigh Mine is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Production Haulage Operator to join our operations team. Reporting to the Product Haulage Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient transportation of washed coal from the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) to the Train Load Out (TLO) facility using Multi Combination (MC) road train configurations.
This is a hands-on operational role that contributes directly to production outcomes, customer delivery requirements and the overall success of site operations. In addition to coal haulage activities, you will have the opportunity to support wider mining operations through the operation of ancillary mobile equipment including water carts, loaders, graders and other equipment where trained and authorised.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Safely operate MC road train combinations to transport washed coal between the CHPP and TLO facilities.
- Complete pre-start inspections, shutdown checks and routine equipment inspections.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, near misses and equipment defects.
- Comply with site safety systems, traffic management plans, fatigue management requirements and environmental controls.
- Work closely with CHPP, TLO, maintenance and operational teams to optimise coal movement and minimise downtime.
- Operate ancillary mobile equipment, where competent and authorised to support dust suppression, haul road maintenance, stockpile management and other operational requirements.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

You are confident working autonomously, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues across site to achieve production goals. Adaptable and solutions-focused, you can respond to changing operational demands, make sound decisions under pressure and maintain a strong focus on safety, equipment care and performance.
Essential Requirements:
- Current MC Driver's Licence.
- Mining Standard 11 competencies.
- Current Queensland Coal Mine Workers' Health Assessment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating MC road trains in mining, bulk haulage, transport, or heavy industry environments.
- A strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and transport principles.
- The ability to identify hazards and manage operational risks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience within an open-cut coal mining operation.
- Experience transporting bulk commodities.
- Competencies in operating water carts, graders, loaders, or dozers.
