About the Role:
Prospect Schools is seeking an organized, flexible, and mission-driven Associate Director of Student Support Services to join us in support of our growing network of schools. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. This person will report directly to the Director of Student Supports and be responsible for socio-emotional and responsive academic programming.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Special Services:
Support the Director of Student Supports in implementing a thorough, equitable, and compliant special services program
Prepare student IEPs for annual review and develop accountability measures for Teacher Reports
Analyze academic data to lead a proactive RTI process
Partner with cross-functional teams to meet the specialized needs of students
Observe lessons regularly and deliver targeted feedback to teachers/learning specialists on the implementation of IEPs and accommodations
Collaborate with grade/subject teams to implement co-planning structures for units, lessons and assessments; provide guidance and feedback with the goal of ensuring that all students have equitable access to instruction
Provide IEP summaries to teachers and support teaching teams to devise and monitor high-impact support plans for students
Model outstanding instruction for teachers
Student Culture:
Model strong, mutually respectful relationships with students and families and support teachers to do the same
In collaboration with Associate Director of Student Supports, support Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior interventions and evaluate student data to measure progress
Observe and give feedback on schoolwide systems and classroom culture
About You:
You have earned a Bachelors Degree.
You have prior teaching experience.
You are in the process of earning or have earned a New York Teaching License Certification. (Learn more here)
Salary:
The salary range for this role starts at $97,000, then increases based on years of experience. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role.
