Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs assigned Food Service duties to ensure that requested and required foods are provided on schedule and are pleasing and palatable to patients of all ages and all other customers, and in the preparation of foods in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, Hospital infection control procedures and department standards to ensure protection from contamination, cross-contamination, and food borne illness

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree(GED).
  • 2 years of food services experience in a production kitchen.
  • State of Alaska Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.

PREFERRED:

  • College Level Coursework in Culinary Arts.
  • 2 years of food services experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM).
