Job Description
Superior Products Distributors is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative – Construction Products to join our team in Milldale. This position will play an important role in supporting customers with their construction material needs while providing exceptional service and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Products Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with construction materials, including waterworks, landscaping, concrete, masonry, or similar products. This individual should be comfortable working with customers in person and over the phone, utilizing computer systems, preparing delivery tickets, coordinating product transfers between branches, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked sales area.
This is a fast-paced position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, product knowledge, and the ability to provide timely and professional service to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service to contractors, customers, and walk-in customers.
- Sell construction materials, including waterworks, landscaping, concrete, masonry, and related products.
- Assist customers with product selection, availability, pricing, and general product questions.
- Answer phone calls and process customer orders using company computer systems.
- Prepare and write delivery tickets accurately.
- Facilitate product transfers between branches to meet customer needs.
- Communicate with customers, branch personnel, drivers, and other departments to coordinate orders and deliveries.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising product displays.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including light-duty cleaning as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Previous experience working with construction materials, preferably waterworks, landscaping, concrete, masonry, or related products.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous inside sales or counter sales experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers, phones, and other technology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize customer needs effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 45 pounds or more and safely handle and move materials.
