As a Functional Solution Architect (Workday), you will lead the functional design and configuration of Workday Financial solutions, helping organizations optimize their finance operations through technology. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable system solutions and support successful Workday implementations. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to combine deep functional expertise, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration in a high-impact environment. You will contribute throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and configuration to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The ideal candidate is passionate about enterprise systems, financial processes, and delivering meaningful improvements through Workday innovation.

• Lead the functional configuration of Workday Financial modules, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and financial processes.
• Gather, analyze, and translate finance stakeholder needs into effective Workday designs and functional solutions.
• Design, configure, and maintain end-to-end financial business processes within Workday.
• Create and maintain functional design documentation, business process configurations, and system-related materials.
• Develop and validate Workday Basic and Advanced reports to support financial reporting requirements.
• Plan and support user acceptance testing (UAT), testing cycles, and production deployment activities.
• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and continuous system improvements.
• Partner with finance teams to identify process optimization opportunities and ensure alignment with financial policies and reporting standards.
• Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and progress updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

• Strong hands-on experience working with Workday Financials.
• Proven experience configuring Workday business processes and developing functional designs across financial modules.
• Functional expertise in one or more Workday Financial areas, including Banking and Settlement, Budgets, Business Asset Accounting, Business Asset Tracking, Cash Management, Common Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Miscellaneous Payments, Organizations and Roles, Supplier Accounts, or Suppliers.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards such as GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience creating and managing Workday Basic and Advanced reports.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business users and stakeholders, translating business requirements into practical system solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting UAT, testing, production deployments, and post-launch system support.
• Workday Financials functional certification is considered an advantage.
• Experience with end-to-end Workday implementation or support projects is preferred.
• Exposure to multi-entity and multi-currency financial environments is a plus.
