Georgia Veterans State Park & Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center, located in Cordele, GA, is one of Georgia's most visited recreational treasurers. Lake Blackshear Retreat has 10 lake cabins, 6 multi-room villas, and 82 camp sites located on beautiful 8800-acre cypress lake with conference center, off-site fitness center, marina with a lake restaurant and bar, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, hunting preserve, fishing and more.

We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

We are looking for a Houseman. This position promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems. A smile is part of the uniform of all employees!

Responsibilities:

• Assist room attendants in cleaning and preparing guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Collect and dispose of trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and public spaces.
• Restock housekeeping carts and storage areas with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Support the housekeeping team during peak periods to ensure timely room turnover.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and hotel policies to maintain a safe working environment.

The required skills enable the Houseman to efficiently perform cleaning and maintenance tasks while ensuring guest satisfaction through attention to detail and responsiveness. Physical stamina and the ability to handle cleaning equipment are essential for daily operations, allowing the Houseman to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
