Hall Medical Assistant in Lafayette, Louisiana at Louisiana Gastroenterology

LGA is a well-established medical facility composed of a team of dedicated and accomplished professionals providing exceptional patient care in the field of Gastroenterology. LGA is recruiting for Hall-Medical Assistant to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Provides support for physicians.
• Schedules appointments, procedures, and referrals for patients.
• Enters accurate documentation in patient electronic charts.
• Provides appropriate documents to patients.
• Conducts follow up phone screenings with patients.
• Maintains patient privacy in conjunction with company policies, HIPAA guidelines and all relevant government regulations.
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment and universal precautions.
• Displays respectful behavior towards patients, co-workers, physicians.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant certification acquired from an accredited school.
• At least two years' experience working as a medical assistant for a clinic is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to periodically lift 20lbs.
