HVAC Install Helper

Larry & Sons Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Drain & Electrical | Hagerstown, MD

Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: HVAC Installation
Experience: Residential HVAC or home-services experience preferred

Compensation: $18-25/hour

We’re growing and looking for a motivated HVAC Install Helper to join our busy HVAC Installation team.

Position Summary

As an HVAC Install Helper, you’ll work alongside experienced HVAC installers to assist with the installation and replacement of residential heating and cooling systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with HVAC, construction, mechanical, or residential home-services experience who wants to continue developing technical skills and build a career in the HVAC industry.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, comfortable working in customers’ homes, and ready to learn.

What You’ll Do

HVAC Installation Support

    Assist Lead HVAC Installers with residential HVAC system installations and replacements.Help remove existing heating and cooling equipment and prepare areas for new installations.Carry, stage, and organize equipment, tools, parts, and installation materials.Assist with installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, thermostats, and related components.Maintain tools, equipment, and installation materials throughout the workday.Help ensure installation jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Customer Service & Teamwork

    Provide professional and respectful service while working in customers’ homes.Protect customer property and maintain clean, organized work areas.Communicate effectively with Lead Installers and other team members.Help clean up job sites and properly dispose of materials after installations.Support the installation team with additional responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required:

    One (1) year of general labor experience using manual and power-operated toolsHigh school diploma, vocational-technical school diploma, or GEDValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Preferred:

    Experience in the trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)Experience with ServiceTitan software
