QA Analyst I

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Analyst I based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of innovative software solutions through structured testing practices.
The QA Analyst will support product development by validating new features, identifying issues, and ensuring smooth releases.
Working closely with product, development, and QA teams, you will help improve user experiences through effective quality assurance processes.
The position combines manual testing expertise with automation practices to increase coverage and efficiency.

Accountabilities:

The QA Analyst I will be responsible for ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of testing processes and automation capabilities.

  • Test new product features, enhancements, and bug fixes before releases to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Perform functional, application, security, performance, and regression testing.
  • Analyze, document, and report test results, defects, and complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with QA teams, Product Owners, and development teams to understand requirements and define testing approaches.
  • Participate in planning meetings to establish effective testing strategies and execution plans.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Use SQL commands and queries to validate data and support testing activities.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar tools to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
  • Contribute to Agile and Scrum ceremonies while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work effectively with distributed teams across different time zones.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have experience in software quality assurance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and agile environment. The role requires a combination of technical testing skills, analytical thinking, and a growth-oriented mindset.

  • 3–5 years of experience in software QA or related testing roles.
  • Experience writing and executing manual test cases, scenarios, and test plans.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL commands and database validation.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Practical experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Google Chrome Dev Tools.
  • Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable Playwright test scripts or similar automation scripts using JavaScript.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with search concepts or CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or ServiceNow is a plus.
