Food Service Associate in Richmond, Virginia at Meriwether Godsey, Inc.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-time Cafeteria/Food Service Associate at the Virginia State Capitol.

• Pay range: $16-$18 per hour
• Must be able to work: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check

What you will do:

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
• Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria area; assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly store food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Keep cafeteria areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
  

What you will need:

• 2-5 years of related food service experience preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Flexibility; ability to switch between locations and job duties
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.
• Reliable Transportation
