In this role, you will ensure that all digital event pages are accurate, up to date, and user-friendly, helping deliver a seamless experience for attendees from registration through to event completion. You will work closely with internal teams, sponsors, and external stakeholders to manage content, troubleshoot website issues, and support digital campaign execution. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who already has hands-on website management experience and is eager to grow within events and digital marketing. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Maintain and update event websites, including landing pages, schedules, agendas, and event calendars.
- Upload, manage, and structure digital content such as speaker profiles, agendas, and supporting event materials.
- Ensure all website content is accurate, consistent, on-brand, and optimized for usability.
- Manage registration systems, attendee sign-ups, confirmations, and automated communications.
- Troubleshoot website issues, including access problems and user-related technical challenges.
- Perform website quality assurance (QA), testing, and error checks to ensure functionality and performance.
- Publish and update digital assets for campaigns, applying basic SEO and usability best practices.
- Monitor website performance and support reporting on key digital metrics.
- Keep website content organized, maintained, and compliant with internal standards.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and sponsors to support event execution and digital requirements.
- Proven hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and updating websites or CMS platforms (essential requirement).
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web content management tools.
- Familiarity with basic SEO principles and website usability best practices.
- Experience performing website QA, troubleshooting issues, and resolving user access problems.
- Experience managing event registration systems and automated communication workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
- Experience using Canva or similar tools for basic digital asset creation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be based in South Africa with legal authorization to work.
- Ability to work aligned with UK business hours and maintain a reliable remote setup.
- Competitive monthly contractor fee of 20,000 ZAR.
