Network Architect - CCIE Required

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Network Architect - CCIE Required in the United States.

This role is designed for a highly experienced networking expert who can operate at the intersection of architecture, design, and advanced troubleshooting within complex enterprise and data center environments. You will play a critical role in shaping scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures, primarily in Cisco-based ecosystems. The position blends strategic consulting and hands-on technical execution, with a strong emphasis on client engagement and solution design. You will act as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers, guiding architecture decisions, modernization efforts, and infrastructure optimization. Working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, you will also support escalations and contribute to mission-critical network stability. This is a high-impact role where technical leadership and communication skills are equally essential.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting enterprise-grade network architectures while acting as a senior technical authority across client engagements and internal initiatives.

  • Design and implement end-to-end enterprise and data center network architectures, including routing, switching, WAN, and security components.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across Cisco technologies, SD-WAN, wireless, load balancing, and network security solutions.
  • Lead client workshops, solution design sessions, and pre-sales engagements including RFPs and SOW development.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex network issues, including troubleshooting, optimization, and upgrades.
  • Develop detailed documentation, implementation plans, and technical requirements aligned with client needs.
  • Support capacity planning, lifecycle management, and network performance improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects and deployments.
Requirements

This role requires deep Cisco expertise, strong architectural experience, and the ability to operate in client-facing, high-pressure enterprise environments.

  • Active Cisco CCIE (Routing & Switching or equivalent) certification is required.
  • 3–5+ years of post-CCIE experience in network architecture, design, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, QoS, VPNs, and high-availability design.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies such as ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, ASR, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data center networking, disaster recovery, and network security architecture.
  • Experience with load balancing (e.g., F5), firewalls, and enterprise wireless technologies (Cisco, Aruba).
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in complex environments.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience is strongly preferred.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary up to $155,000 depending on experience
  • Annual bonus opportunity up to 10%
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions
  • Remote-first flexibility with occasional onsite support requirements
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements
  • Professional development and certification support
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale, high-impact network transformation projects
