This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about safety, training, and continuous improvement in the transportation industry.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive transportation risk assessments through site visits, operational reviews, and client interviews.
  • Identify hazards, evaluate existing controls, and provide strategic recommendations to reduce loss exposure and improve safety outcomes.
  • Deliver consultative risk management services and customized training programs to transportation and logistics clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned accounts, supporting long-term risk prevention and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with underwriting teams, brokers, and internal stakeholders to develop best practices and align risk strategies with client needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and transportation safety standards to provide informed guidance and recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and risk analyses to support decision-making and ongoing account management.
  • Manage a busy travel schedule independently while maintaining strong client relationships across multiple regions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation safety management or commercial transportation risk consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including applicable standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to assess operational risks, investigate safety concerns, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Excellent coaching, training, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong relationship-building and client management capabilities in a consultative environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously in the field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Commercial Class 1 license considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Atlantic Canada, with occasional travel to Ontario.
  • NATMI certification and bilingualism in English and French are considered strong assets.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work setup with flexibility to manage your own schedule.
  • Company-provided vehicle and coverage of travel-related expenses.
  • Competitive compensation package with financial wellness programs, including pension plans, RRSP contributions, and employee share purchase plans.
  • Discounts on insurance products and additional employee savings programs.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits available from day one.
  • Wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and flexible leave options.
  • Education assistance and professional development support for industry certifications and continuing education.
  • Leadership development, mentoring programs, and internal career mobility opportunities.
  • Community engagement initiatives, including volunteer days and donation matching programs.
  • Inclusive and collaborative workplace culture focused on growth, support, and employee well-being.
