Job Summary:
The Cultivation Technician III reports directly to the Integrated Pest Management & Cultivation Supervisor and/or Cultivation Supervisor, supporting our New Jersey cultivation operations.
The Cultivation Technician III is primarily responsible for executing the facility’s Integrated Pest Management program to support optimal plant health, biosecurity compliance, and pest/pathogen prevention. This position performs routine scouting, treatment applications, sanitation tasks, documentation, and other IPM-related duties in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
When IPM duties are complete, this role supports general cultivation operations, including plant maintenance, room turnovers, harvest workflows, and other related duties as assigned by the Cultivation Supervisor or management. This position serves as an important support function for plant health management while maintaining flexibility to assist with production needs across cultivation departments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine pest and pathogen scouting across veg, flower, mother, and dry areas.
- Accurately document findings in scouting logs and digital tracking systems.
- Execute foliar sprays, root drenches, and beneficial insect releases in accordance with SOPs.
- Maintain correct PPE, chemical handling, and SDS compliance standards.
- Prepare and mix IPM solutions according to established mixing protocols.
- Monitor environmental conditions that influence pest pressure and plant health.
- Conduct facility sanitation tasks, including equipment disinfection and room cleanouts.
- Assist in developing, refining, and following IPM SOPs and treatment schedules.
- Support audit readiness related to biosecurity, pesticide compliance, and cultivation documentation.
- Perform plant maintenance, including skirting, defoliation, trellising, and general plant care.
- Assist with harvest, weighing, and room turnover procedures as needed.
- Support irrigation checks and plant health monitoring.
- Assist with mother plant maintenance when needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant workspaces.
- Work collaboratively with cultivation, IPM, and production teams to ensure seamless coordination and efficiency in daily workflows.
- Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions as required to enhance skills and stay updated with company protocols.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
- Must be twenty-one years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1+ year commercial cannabis cultivation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of pest life cycles and plant pathology preferred.
- Strong understanding of horticulture and cultivation best practices.
- Knowledge of state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable.
- Ability to accurately follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently or with others, coordinate multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong reliability and consistent attendance, with the ability to report to scheduled shifts on time and support time-sensitive cultivation/IPM workflows.
- Meticulous organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Proficient in both oral and written communication.
- Computer-savvy with a knack for quickly mastering new software and digital tracking systems.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in hot/humid environments.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and work in a heavily regulated environment.
- Green Flower and/or Ganjier Certificate holder preferred.
Pay Rate: $21.50
