HIM Coding Supervisor in Pittsfield, Massachusetts at Berkshire Health Systems

5 years of outpatient or inpatient coding experience is required, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory/ leadership experience preferred. Successful candidate will be required to have strong computer skills.

The ability to supervise and lead. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of coding classification systems such as ICD-10-CM, CPT 4 and applicable regulatory requirements for outpatient and inpatient coding as required. Demonstrated ability to interact with physicians and other health professionals required. Analytical skills necessary to clinically assess medical records and documentation requirements. Analytical skills to reach appropriate decisions/outcomes required. Demonstrated ability to deal appropriately with confidential information. Proven ability to work independently; detail oriented, ability to focus on task. Ability to compile, analyze, and interrupt data to make operational decisions and recommendations. Works collaboratively with other revenue cycle management.
