RRA Capital is a real estate credit platform focused on structured lending and opportunistic investments. We are seeking an Associate with 3-5 years of commercial real estate experience to actively manage a portfolio of transitional and value-add loans in Phoenix.

THE ROLE

This role requires strong real estate and credit judgment and spans post-closing business plan execution, borrower requests, extensions, modifications, workouts and resolution.

Your work will include:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans by reviewing borrower reporting, monitoring performance against underwriting and business plans, and maintaining asset-level models and valuations
• Identify emerging credit, operational, sponsorship and market risks; maintain risk ratings and watchlists; and recommend actions
• Review loan documents and monitor covenants, extension conditions, reserves, cash management, reporting requirements and maturities
• Evaluate borrower requests, including extensions, modifications, draws, reserve releases and other lender consents
• Manage borrower and sponsor relationships and prepare asset-level reporting and recommendations for senior management and investment committees
• Collaborate with RRA's Underwriting, Originations, Capital Markets, Loan Servicing, Finance and Legal teams throughout each investment
• Support workouts, foreclosure and REO analysis, property inspections, market research and portfolio valuations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You should have:

• 3-5 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in debt asset management, underwriting, lending or acquisitions
• Experience underwriting or managing performing commercial real estate loans; floating-rate bridge or transitional loan experience preferred
• Non-performing loan, workout or equity real estate experience is a plus
• Experience underwriting multiple property types and value-add business plans preferred
• Strong commercial real estate underwriting and financial modeling skills, including advanced Excel proficiency
• Familiarity with commercial real estate loan documents and lender protections

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate enjoys owning investments after closing and developing a deep understanding of the credit and underlying real estate. They are equally comfortable monitoring a well-performing loan, evaluating a borrower request or working through a developing issue.

Because RRA operates with a lean team, this person will wear multiple hats within Asset Management and should value the opportunity to build deep expertise and responsibility in the function.
