This position is a new role within the clinic.

As we continue to expand our care platform and clinical service capabilities, we are looking for a pharmacy leader who can combine strong pharmacy operations expertise with clinical program development and innovation.

Position Summary

The Designated Pharmacy Manager - Clinical Services Development & Operations is a unique leadership position combining pharmacy operations, clinical practice and new clinical program development.

The role is structured approximately 50% pharmacy operations and designated manager responsibilities, and 50% clinical services development and organizational growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will serve as the Designated Manager for GotoDoctor's internal pharmacy operation while helping build pharmacy capabilities that support the broader organization's care delivery and platform strategy.

Beyond managing day-to-day pharmacy operations, this individual will work closely with GotoDoctor's physician leadership, clinical teams and senior management to design and develop new pharmacy-enabled clinical services for GotoDoctor's pharmacy, insurance and healthcare partners.

This role is suited to a pharmacist interested in expanding beyond traditional pharmacy management into clinical service innovation, integrated care delivery and healthcare program development.

Key Responsibilities

Pharmacy Operations & Designated Manager Responsibilities

• Serve as the Designated Manager and maintain responsibility for pharmacy operations in accordance with Ontario College of Pharmacists requirements and applicable legislation.
• Expand internal pharmacy team capacity to support the organization's broader objectives around care platform acceleration and integrated service delivery.
• Oversee dispensing, medication management, inventory, workflow, staffing, quality assurance and pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate pharmacy standards, documentation, compliance and operational controls.
• Provide direct patient care, medication counselling, medication reviews and other pharmacist professional services.
• Lead and support pharmacy staff while maintaining a high standard of patient care and professional practice.
• Develop and expand GotoDoctor's in-house pharmacy operations to support the broader needs of the organization.
• Build pharmacy workflows and operational capabilities that integrate with GotoDoctor's clinical programs and care delivery infrastructure.

Clinical Services & Program Development

• Apply pharmacy practice and medication-management expertise to design, develop and launch new clinical services and care programs.
• Develop pharmacy-enabled services that expand GotoDoctor's offering to pharmacy, insurance, employer and healthcare partners.
• Translate unmet clinical and partner needs into structured programs, workflows and scalable service models.
• Develop services involving medication management, chronic disease management, preventative care, specialty therapies and other emerging areas of pharmacy practice.
• Develop clinical workflows, protocols, documentation requirements and operational processes required to launch new programs.
• Support pilot programs from initial concept through implementation, evaluation and broader deployment.
• Monitor program utilization, clinical outcomes, workflow performance and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to integrate pharmacy knowledge and services more effectively across GotoDoctor's broader care platform.

Clinical & Organizational Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with GotoDoctor's Lead Physician Advisor, physician network and clinical leadership on the development of new clinical programs.
• Provide pharmacy and medication-management expertise to senior management when evaluating new healthcare services, partnerships and growth opportunities.
• Work cross-functionally with technology, operations, business development and clinical teams to integrate pharmacy services into the GotoDoctor care platform.
• Participate in discussions with pharmacy groups, insurers and other strategic partners to understand clinical requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
• Support clinical education, program design and knowledge development across the organization where pharmacy expertise is required.
• Contribute to broader organizational initiatives focused on accelerating access to care and expanding integrated healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists - Part A.
• Eligible to act as a Designated Manager in Ontario.
• Minimum 2 years of Designated Pharmacy Manager experience.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in developing new clinical programs, services or healthcare workflows.
• Prior non-retail or hospital clinical experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and evolving healthcare environment.
• Ability to move effectively between hands-on pharmacy responsibilities and broader clinical program development.
