We are seeking a motivated individual with proven carpentry skills and/or handyman skills to join our installation team. This role combines high amounts of insulation work (over half of the job is insulation installation) with specialized door, window, and trim installation as well as occasional dry wall as well. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction and enjoys different types of work and challenges daily. The ideal candidate likes crawling under houses and into attics while also doing detail carpentry in the same day. The ideal candidate can work independently and problem solve to finish projects on time and at a high level. The ideal candidate has near perfect attendance in their past and is someone who is incredibly reliable.
Responsibilities
Install insulation materials in attics, walls, crawl spaces, and other areas as assigned.
Install, replace, and weatherize doors and windows, including sealing, caulking, and trimming.
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently and Cut, measure, and fit insulation, trim, and framing with precision.
Install and repair drywall at an excellent level.
Follow work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
Ensure jobs are completed with high quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle.
Uphold Hayes’ values in all interactions with customers and teammates.
Minimum 2 years’ experience installing doors and windows, including sealing and trim work and/or handyman or maintenance work.
Prior experience in carpentry, remodeling, or construction.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or elevated areas. Comfortable with working in homes and areas that are in need of restoration and renovation. These homes we work on are not new construction and need updated and repaired - that's why we are there.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks daily.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
