Cook in Crandon, Wisconsin at Sokaogon Gaming Enterprise

The Cook will prepare food, including hot entrees, to specifications in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product.

• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Provide safe and wholesome food for our guests.
• Prepares food according to standard recipes and specifications.
• Comply with Indian Health Service (IHS), Wisconsin Health Code, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations pertaining to food service center’s health and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure a sanitary and organized work area.
• Ensure proper care, storage, use and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of all foods.
• Prevent cross-contamination at all times.
• Maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
• Safeguarding of casino assets.
• All other duties as assigned.

Uniform:

• Clean professional attire (when applicable casino issued attire).
• Sokaogon Gaming Commission (SGC) issued Gaming License/ID Badge.
• Hair (including beards) must be completely covered by the use of a hair net or cap.
• Use of gloves whenever applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Must submit to and pass drug test upon hire or at random per SGEC Employee Handbook.

· Take and pass a Title 31 compliance test within 30 days of hire.

· Be able to pass a Background Investigation.

· Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.

· Must be able to interact well with the public and co-workers.

· Strong math and counting skills.

· Computer learning ability.

· Ability to follow precise procedures.

· Must have excellent communication skills.

· Must have the ability to multi-task.

· Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, with extreme attention to detail.

· Must be able to physically perform all aspects of the position i.e., stand for long periods.

· Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
