We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team of providers making a difference in our healthcare. This role is designed for a provider who can bridge psychiatry and primary care, delivering comprehensive services to adult patients while maintaining the ability to care for pediatric populations. The PMHNP will play a critical role in improving access, managing chronic conditions, and addressing both mental health and medical needs in a coordinated, whole-person approach.

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adult patients, with the ability to treat pediatric patients as needed.
- Manage behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and PTSD.
- Provide medication management and brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver primary care services, including management of acute and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity).
- Provide preventive care, including screenings and immunizations.
- Address both medical and behavioral health needs during the same patient encounter when appropriate.
- Escalate complex cases to collaborate with physicians as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across specialties (e.g., Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health).
- Participate in integrated care workflows, including warm handoffs and co-management.
- Ensure timely follow-up on labs, diagnostics, and referrals while supporting care coordination.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and overall health management.
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to HEDIS/UDS measures, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- BSN/MSN/DSN from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent; current advanced practice license to practice in the state of Texas
- PMHNP-BC certified or actively pursuing certification
- 1–2 years of clinical experience in offering mental health care services.
- Registered/ have current or eligibility to obtain DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate as a practitioner in the State of Texas or be able to obtain
- Experience in community health centers and/or non-profits is preferred
- Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar
- MS Office Suite skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
