IT Generalist in Anchorage, Alaska at Donlin Gold LLC

Reporting to the Administration Manager, the IT Generalist is responsible for providing hands-on technical support for end users, equipment, and network systems across Donlin Gold operations. This role supports desktop systems, mobile devices, network connectivity, and field-based technology infrastructure, ensuring uptime and responsiveness in a remote, high-demand project environment.

The position requires a strong service mindset, practical troubleshooting ability, and flexibility to support both corporate office and remote camp operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for employees and contractors
• Install and maintain computers, printers, and mobile devices
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Support onboarding/offboarding and account setup
• Assist with LAN/Wi-Fi and remote connectivity systems
• Track and manage IT equipment and inventory
• Support cybersecurity, patching, and updates
• Provide field support for camp and project operations
• Enforce basic IT security practices
• Support password resets, multi-factor authentication, and access troubleshooting

Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent experience

Experience:

• 3+ years of IT support experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft 365
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in remote or camp-based operations

Working Conditions:

This position may require periodic travel to the Donlin project site and other locations within Alaska. The role may involve work in both office and field environments and coordination with personnel working in remote, camp‑based conditions.
