This role sits at the core of a data-driven organization operating across Latin America and the Caribbean. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical database and server infrastructures across both on-premises and cloud environments. The position combines systems administration, database optimization, and automation support in a highly collaborative IT ecosystem. You will work closely with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams to support scalable and reliable services. The environment is fast-paced and oriented toward continuous improvement, security enhancement, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on technical role with direct impact on business continuity and data integrity. You will also contribute to modernization efforts involving cloud platforms, orchestration tools, and automation frameworks.
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers across on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer, optimize, and secure databases, including MSSQL and PostgreSQL, while supporting MongoDB where applicable.
- Execute database operations such as backups, recovery, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
- Implement and enhance security measures, server configurations, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies for server and database systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to automate tasks, maintain workflows (e.g., Rundeck), and support Kubernetes-based services.
- Provide support for production systems, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure detailed documentation of systems and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in Windows and Linux server administration in hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid SQL expertise, particularly in MSSQL and PostgreSQL; MongoDB experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery processes, backup strategies, and system resilience practices.
- Exposure to orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Pulumi is highly valued.
- Experience with automation and scheduling tools such as Rundeck is a plus.
