Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As I&C Engineer you govern the instrumentation and controls design on the owner's behalf: the control system, instrumentation, turbine controls, and fire and gas detection.
What you get to do:
- Review control system architecture and instrumentation design.
- Assess control narratives, logic diagrams and alarm philosophy.
- Review the turbine control interface and plant control integration.
- Evaluate I&C change requests and field queries.
- Partner with the site team on controls technical questions.
- Track design deliverable status against the schedule.
- Monitor preservation and storage requirements for instrumentation.
What you bring to the role:
- 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering for power or process plants.
- Hands-on experience with distributed control systems and turbine control integration.
- Working knowledge of ISA standards and functional safety.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline — required for this position.
Nice to have:
- Owner-side engineering experience.
- Professional engineering registration.
