Job Description
Brief Summary: The Installation Operations Supervisor leads field service operations across North America. This role is responsible for building and developing high-performing installation teams, driving process improvements, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest customer satisfaction standards. The position supports company strategy through effective business processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success requires strong leadership, delegation, team-building, and operational excellence, along with a commitment to standardization, accountability, and the company's core values.
ACTIVITES/TASKS
• Develops superior, reliable installation related business processes.
• Manages in-house installation teams and subcontractor partners to ensure
installation projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manages the organization of inventory and re-order points of project material in
install warehouse.
• Manages the organization and inventory of installation tools and equipment.
• Addresses policy and procedure issues with team members. Reports on all
issues to upper management.
• Manages maintenance of company fleet.
• Performs jobsite safety audits and fleet vehicle audits monthly.
• Overall P&L responsibility for the Contracting Services Installation business.
• Participates in Monthly KPI, Strategy Deployment, and budget review
processes.
• Drive the execution and continuous improvement of the company's Daily
Management and Continuous Improvement methodology to improve installation
department efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.
• Collaborates with Project Managers to standardize, document, and
continuously improve installation processes (and adherence to same) with the
goal of eliminating waste and improve installation efficiency.
• Develops installer training procedures. Train Project Managers and installers to
ensure job site worker safety and installation quality standards are followed.
• Identifies, recruits, and trains installation staff which represent company values.
Drives continuous improvement and delights customers.
• Identifies, recruits, trains, and manages installation partners (subcontractors)
located throughout the US to provide installation services which meet the
company’s safety and quality standards.
• Assists with annual departmental operating budget.
• Tracks and reports spend results monthly.
• Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES DESIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience managing employees in an installation
services environment.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Take initiative, identify and solve problems
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to manage a wide variety of activities and functions simultaneously
• Qualified candidates should be organized and goal oriented.
• Continuous Improvement / Lean Business processes experience a plus.
• Maintain positive attitude and be open to accept new ideas and change
• Adhere to company philosophy and values
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background
check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
