Description:

The HR Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle. This role helps ensure HR processes are organized, accurate, timely, and employee-friendly while supporting the broader People/HR team.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, system updates, orientation logistics, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, including personnel files and employee data changes.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, employee changes, vendor coordination, and employee questions.
  • Support payroll-related processes by collecting and maintaining employee information and coordinating changes with payroll or Finance.
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, background checks, and offer/onboarding coordination.
  • Support HR compliance activities, including required forms, notices, training records, employment documentation, and record retention.
  • Coordinate employee programs, training, meetings, and other People initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, trackers, communications, and other documentation as needed.
  • Help maintain HR policies, procedures, templates, and internal resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or streamline administrative HR processes.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the HR/People team.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of administrative, HR, People Operations, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with HR systems, spreadsheets, and other business technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deadlines.
  • Service-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with employees at all levels.
  • Interest in developing broader HR knowledge and capabilities.
