About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Behavior Technician to join our care team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to support their daily living, social skills, recreational activities, and vocational goals. You will play a vital role in implementing client rehabilitation strategies, applying behavioral management plans, and encouraging independence in a supportive, home-like environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Client Care & Behavioral Support

    Promote Independence: Guide, assist, and encourage clients in daily living tasks, personal care, community integration, cognitive activities, and vocational skills.Implement Behavior Plans: Deliver behavioral protocols and group therapies, address behaviors proactively and respectfully, and model pro-social behavior using positive reinforcement.Client Advocacy & Observation: Monitor clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions; communicate changes promptly to the treatment team to ensure appropriate care.Medication Management: Assist with client medication administration according to prescribed regimes and facility standards.
Facility Operations & Safety

    Maintain Environment: Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming home-like setting compliant with licensing, CARF, and organization standards.Meal Preparation & Nutrition: Help plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals based on resident nutritional plans.Transportation: Transport clients to appointments, errands, and recreational group or individual outings.
Professionalism & Documentation

    Accurate Documentation: Complete daily data sheets, shift summaries, goal/flow sheets, supervision checklists, and incident reports in compliance with state, federal, and organization standards.Communication: Build respectful, professional relationships with clients, families, visitors, and colleagues while maintaining strict client confidentiality.Reliability & Flexibility: Adapt to changing operational or client needs and maintain reliable attendance and work habits.
Qualifications & Requirements

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Must have the ability to travel and/or operate a vehicle for up to 20% of the time spent working in this position.
