About the Role
We are looking for a talented, self-directed, collaborative engineer who is deeply knowledgeable and
thrives when working across multiple stacks and technologies. This role owns the desktop agent
products, developing against Windows, macOS, and Linux system APIs — enhancing existing
functionality and building new security-focused features. The role is tightly integrated with other
engineering teams, with the opportunity to work end-to-end, from design to implementation, on large-
scale networking and security services.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain our Go-based agent with cgo integrations for platform-specific
functionality
• Implement and enhance agent features including SASE, EDR, and endpoint security capabilities
• Design and implement system-level security features across Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Create robust platform-specific integrations using OS APIs
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated platform-specific issues in coordination with
customer-facing teams
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong proficiency in Go or a similar systems-oriented language (C, C++, Rust)
• Solid understanding of systems programming concepts on at least one of: Windows, macOS,
Linux
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPN protocols
• Experience with concurrent programming (e.g., goroutines, channels, pthreads, async/await)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to Have
• Experience with cgo and integrating Go with C/C++ libraries
• Production experience building or maintaining system-level agents or services
• Socket programming experience (Winsock, BSD sockets)
• C# or Swift programming experience
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate
systems-level engineering work
• Familiarity with SASE architecture or endpoint security concepts
• BS or MS in Computer Science from a strong systems-focused program
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,00-180,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
