This role is focused on providing advanced technical support within a 24/7 cloud managed services environment, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure operations. You will act as a key escalation point for complex incidents, helping ensure stability, performance, and security across customer cloud environments. Working in a fast-paced, client-facing setting, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud, networking, and systems infrastructure while maintaining high service quality standards. The position also involves collaborating with engineering and Tier 2/3 teams to resolve critical incidents and improve operational processes. You will contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing recurring issues and increasing efficiency. In addition, you will mentor junior technicians and help strengthen knowledge-sharing practices across the support team. This is a night-shift role requiring strong autonomy, communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure scenarios.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex Azure and hybrid cloud incidents, supporting Level 1 and Cloud Technicians.
  • Monitor, analyze, and resolve issues across Azure and VMware/vSphere environments.
  • Manage and administer Azure resources, including configuration, deployment, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Support networking and security operations, including firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and routing policies.
  • Investigate system alerts, logs, and telemetry to diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Drive incident resolution for critical (P1) cases, ensuring clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to automation initiatives using PowerShell, CLI, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Collaborate with engineering and Tier 2/3 teams to implement fixes and improvements across systems.
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base development.
  • Communicate technical updates and resolutions in a clear, client-facing, business-oriented manner.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration or cloud support roles (Windows and/or Linux environments).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid cloud environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in networking and security (firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, routing).
  • Experience in managed services, NOC, or 24/7 operational support environments is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, CLI, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, system monitoring, and incident diagnostics.
  • Experience working with Azure networking and infrastructure components (Palo Alto or Azure Firewall is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure, night-shift environment.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-700, or foundational Azure certs) are a plus.
Benefits:
  • Remote contractor position based in Latin America
  • Stable 3rd shift schedule (Sunday–Wednesday, aligned with Pacific Time overnight hours)
  • Opportunity to work in advanced Azure managed services environments
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade cloud, networking, and security infrastructures
  • Career growth through mentoring, technical escalation work, and continuous learning
  • Collaboration with international engineering and support teams
  • Hands-on experience with automation and cloud optimization initiatives
  • Inclusive and diverse work environment with strong professional development focus
