Ultrasound Tech in Southport, North Carolina at J Arthur Dosher Memorial Hospital

PRN (as needed)

Responsible for conducting diagnostic ultrasound examinations within the sonography department. This role involves performing high quality imaging studies, ensuring accurate interpretation, and maintaining patient safety. The Staff Sonographer must adhere to departmental protocols, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and provide excellent patient care.

Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):

• Perform various diagnostic ultrasound examinations within the scope of practice, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

• Produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and interpretation.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation and timely delivery of imaging results

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

• Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.

• 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography.

• Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
