About the Role:
As a Line Cook in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a critical role in preparing high-quality meals that meet our establishment's standards and delight our guests. Your primary focus will be on efficiently executing menu items while maintaining consistency, taste, and presentation. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and uphold strict hygiene and safety standards. This role demands adaptability to a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to the overall guest experience and the reputation of our dining services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school certification or formal culinary training.
- Experience with various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Knowledge of inventory management and kitchen equipment maintenance.
- Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe certification.
- Ability to adapt to changing menus and special dietary requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes to minimize waste and ensure consistency.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock and helping with deliveries.
- Support the kitchen team by performing additional tasks such as chopping, prepping ingredients, and cleaning as needed.
