Director, Strategic Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Strategic Sales based in the United States.

This role is a high-impact leadership position focused on driving enterprise revenue growth within complex, strategic accounts. You will lead and scale a team of senior sales professionals responsible for managing and expanding relationships with large, high-value customers. The position requires a strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, guiding teams through complex, consultative, ROI-driven sales cycles. You will be responsible for developing territory strategies, executing sales plans, and ensuring consistent achievement of revenue targets. In addition, you will play a key role in shaping go-to-market execution, pipeline development, and forecasting accuracy. The role also involves close collaboration with technical, sales engineering, and analytics teams to deliver tailored solutions to enterprise clients. This is a dynamic environment where leadership, resilience, and commercial excellence directly shape business outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Strategic Account Executives, Account Managers, and Commercial Account Executives to consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business and expand existing enterprise accounts.
  • Apply value-based, ROI-driven sales methodologies to position complex enterprise solutions effectively.
  • Own forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting activities with high accuracy and discipline across CRM systems.
  • Guide full sales cycles including prospecting, qualification, solution design, proof of concept, pricing, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with sales engineering and analytics teams to support solution design, demos, and proof-of-concept execution.
  • Build deep market and industry knowledge to position solutions against competitive and emerging trends.
  • Present solutions and conduct executive-level product demonstrations for strategic customers.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise or strategic sales, including success selling to Fortune 500 organizations.
  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals of $1M+ in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Experience in both new business acquisition and account growth/renewal strategies.
  • Prior experience carrying and achieving a strategic sales quota before moving into leadership roles.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce and Clari.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with a hands-on leadership style and ability to operate in fast-paced environments.
  • Background in cybersecurity or related enterprise technology sectors is a plus.
