Basic Description:
The Renovation and Construction Project Lead serves as the primary sales-facing resource for renovation and construction loan programs. This role partners with loan officers, builders and internal teams to talk through loan scenarios, provide program guidance, facilitate training and help answer broader questions throughout the lending process. The position is focused on making complex program information clear, practical, and accessible while supporting growth and a consistent customer experience.
This is a fully remote position. We are looking to fill this position in one of the following states that we have offices in: AR, FL, IA, KS, MI, MO, NE, OK, TN, TX.
Responsibilities:
· Partner with loan officers to talk through renovation and construction loan scenarios, program options, high-level eligibility considerations and potential next steps.
· Provide file-level support on complex renovation and construction transactions, helping loan officers navigate unique scenarios, identify potential challenges, and coordinate with operations partners to move loans toward closing.
· Serve as an accessible subject matter resource for overarching renovation and construction questions from sales and internal business partners.
· Develop and facilitate training for loan officers and other team on program features, common scenarios, available resources, and effective borrower conversations.
· Create and maintain practical sales tools, talking points, FAQs, and reference materials that make renovation and construction programs easier to understand and present.
· Participate in sales meetings, branch meetings, webinars, and other educational opportunities to increase confidence and awareness of renovation and construction lending.
· Build and maintain relationships with builders and other industry partners by explaining program options, answering general questions and connecting them with appropriate internal resources.
· Assist loan officers with preparing for builder, borrower, and referral-partner conversations involving renovation or construction financing.
· Collaborate with operations, underwriting, compliance, and leadership to clarify program guidance and communicate updates that affect the sales process.
· Identify recurring questions, knowledge gaps, or sales barriers and recommend training, communication or resource improvements.
· Gather feedback from loan officers and builders to help strengthen program positioning and the overall experience.
· Support the introduction and rollout of new renovation and construction loan programs through training, communication, and sales-facing resources.
· Represent Flat Branch as a knowledgeable and professional resource at builder meetings, industry events and other business development opportunities, as requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Qualifications & Skills:
· High School Diplomas or Equivalent.
· 5 years of mortgage residential real estate or construction lending experience, preferred.
· Working knowledge of renovation and construction loan programs, terminology, and common lending scenarios.
· Ability to explain complex information clearly and confidently to loan officers, builders, borrowers, and internal partners.
· Strong presentation, facilitation, and training skills, including the ability to engage both individuals and groups.
· Knowledge of Encompass, preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Skilled in problem solving.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond timely, and meet deadlines.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Windows.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
