Connecticut Orthopaedics is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our exceptional care team. The medical assistant will work in our Hamden, Guilford, Wallingford and Orange offices. The hours vary between 7:30am and 5:00pm.

- Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team
- Connect with the patient. From scheduling to insurance coordination and more, this position plays a key role in the care process and patient experience
- Practice communication and planning skills by coordinating with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, etc.
- Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results and executing necessary pre-op documentation
Skills and abilities that a medical assistant should possess…
- Surgical scheduling preferred
- A knowledge of EMR systems
- A positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements
Education and experience needed…
- A high school diploma
- Experience working with an EMR (EPIC Preferred)
- Two (2) or more years of medical administrative experience
