Senior Professional Services Engineer - Implementation and Onboarding

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Professional Services Engineer - Implementation and Onboarding based in the United States.

As a Senior Professional Services Engineer, you will serve as a hands-on technical consultant, leading customer engagements from initial kickoff through implementation and handover. You’ll help engineering organizations design, configure, and scale their Engineering Operations environments while solving complex technical challenges. The role combines customer partnership, technical implementation, solution design, and enablement. You’ll work with engineers, platform teams, product leaders, engineering executives, and CTOs to translate complex systems into practical solutions. Your work will directly influence customer adoption, operational maturity, and engineering efficiency. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and working across modern engineering ecosystems in a fully remote environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end customer onboarding and implementation engagements, from kickoff through delivery and handover, using structured enablement workshops and tailored implementation plans.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact throughout customer engagements, troubleshooting issues, investigating bugs, and escalating product feedback when appropriate.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers make informed decisions around architecture, configuration, implementation, and scaling.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot platform capabilities and integrations across customers’ engineering toolchains.
  • Advise customers on data modeling strategies, including entities, relationships, ownership structures, and ingestion pipelines, while creating and communicating relevant architecture diagrams.
  • Guide customers on data ingestion automation, ownership, reporting, and orchestration approaches using tools and technologies such as GitHub Actions and Argo.
  • Develop customer-facing learning materials, walkthroughs, best-practice documentation, and implementation guides.
  • Plan and facilitate technical enablement sessions for diverse audiences, including engineering, platform, product, and leadership teams.
  • Contribute internal documentation and reusable content covering advanced technical use cases, implementation patterns, and customer solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to identify opportunities for improved adoption, technical outcomes, and product capabilities.
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Professional Services, Technical Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering with customer exposure, or a comparable position.
  • Hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks, data ingestion pipelines, and related integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering environments, including CI/CD, GitHub or GitLab, cloud platforms, observability, and incident management.
  • Comfortable working with JSON and YAML; experience with Python, SQL, or scripting languages is a plus.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate complex systems and translate findings into practical solutions.
  • Ability to understand customer environments, data models, engineering workflows, and organizational structures and turn them into effective implementation strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple customer priorities while maintaining ownership of implementation timelines and deliverables.
  • Consultative mindset with strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
Benefits
  • Salary: $140,000–$160,000 starting base salary, depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and business needs.
  • Equity: Competitive equity package.
  • Healthcare: National medical, dental, and vision insurance, with 100% of employee premiums covered.
  • Time off: Unlimited PTO and flexible working hours.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan.
  • Family support: Gender-neutral parental leave.
  • Learning & Development: $1,000 annual professional development stipend.
  • Perks: $400 monthly stipend that can be used according to your personal needs and preferences.
  • Pet benefits: Pet insurance.
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote within the United States, with company offsites held several times per year.
  • Culture: Inclusive, collaborative environment focused on professional growth, technical excellence, and meaningful customer impact.
