Summary:
This position is responsible for the sales, service, and retention of the commercial relationships. Incumbents are responsible for new business development, portfolio management, credit quality, and overall relationship management of a portfolio of commercial customers. This position works independently to manage and develop complex commercial accounts that meet the bank’s lending requirements, maximize profitability, and minimize risk. Acts in a trusted advisor role to companies by generating ideas, advice, and solutions for clients within an assigned territory. Typical loan size is $500M to $2.5MM, with the capability to manage $35-65MM in portfolio size, and a minimum annualized sales loan volume of $12-$16MM.

- Manage a $35-65MM commercial portfolio. Manage client relationships to identify additional opportunities in loans, deposits, or financial services. Identifies, prioritizes, and develops relationship strategies for high-value retention and expansion clients.
- Generates new business development within assigned territory and assumes ownership of developed client relationships by acting as a primary point of contact.
- Work with team members on the administration and relationship management of client relationships and commercial credits.
- Delivers knowledgeable advice and solutions within client relationships to optimize revenue opportunities for the bank.
- Drives revenue growth through self-sourced opportunities. Plans and executes quality client/prospect calls.
- Cross-sells all bank products, including new deposit dollars; directs the coordination for referrals.
- Manages transactional processes from initial engagement through final close. Assumes full ownership of the client experience while working in collaboration with credit services professionals and relationship specialists.
- Directly responsible for prospect identification through application and obtaining all supporting documents.
- Work in collaboration with a relationship specialist to prepare for credit action through submission to credit services for underwriting through credit determination.
- Work in collaboration with credit services from underwriting through credit decision.
- Partner with a relationship specialist on the preparation of the commitment, presentation of the offer, and clearing of conditions to close.
- Collaborate and provide oversight of the closing process.
- Monitors credit quality within assigned portfolios and takes action.
- Utilize CRM to track prospect and customer activities.
- In partnership with the Underwriter, making recommendations to the Loan Committee and the Board of Directors.
- Monitoring repayment activity.
- Managing delinquent credits within the portfolio.
- Actively participating in community activities and organizations.
- Collaborate with portfolio manager(s) on portfolio administration.
- Complete other sales goals as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
- Demonstrated 5 years of experience in business lending with a commercial or community bank.
- Proven ability in developing business relationships, underwriting, and managing a portfolio.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of commercial, real estate, and construction lending.
- Comprehensive knowledge and compliance with ENB credit policies and all applicable federal, state, and bank regulations.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and credit analysis tools utilized for credit underwriting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and sales skills are critical.
- Excellent working relationship and collaboration skills with support areas of the bank.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Annual Salary:
$89,856.00 - $140,400.00
Pay Transparency:
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive-eligible, with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboards, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculators, and fax machines. Due to the physical location of this position, ringing phones and people conversing can make it difficult to hear at times, which can be easily distracting.
