Job Summary

The Supervised Visitation & Family Support Supervisor is a member of the leadership team. The Supervised Visitation and Family Support Supervisor ensures the safety and well-being of children by supervising staff, observing and documenting activities and behaviors during visitations, and providing guidance and oversight to staff in completing their assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of supervised visitation and parenting education staff.
  • Provide oversight, support, and clear communication to staff; escalate concerns or incidents to the Director as appropriate.
  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact for client questions or needs, elevating matters to the Director when necessary.
  • Continually provide excellent customer service to all clients, staff, Court, DCS, and community partners.
  • Provide orientation for client families.
  • Provide and participate in regular supervision, meetings, and training as scheduled.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality concerning families.
  • Observe and document interactions, behaviors, and visit details without interpretation and in compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Guide, intervene, and/or attempt to redirect client and child behaviors when appropriate.
  • Assist with initial orientation and ongoing training for SVFS staff members.
  • Enter and track information accurately and timely in program databases.
  • Review referrals when received and submit reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist in coordinating client and staff schedules, assigning visitation rooms, and setting up virtual and on-site visits.
  • Prepare monthly invoices and reports.
  • Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Desire to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for children and families to build bonds. Highly principled, organized, timely, detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Proficient with electronic forms and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required. Also, possessing these qualities in Spanish would be a plus.
  • Enjoys and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a huge drive to create an impact while also being a respectful problem-solver and a collaborative, continuous learning team member.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree within Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a similar HR field. (MSW preferred)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and have at least 2 years of correlating experience.

Requirements

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines.
  • Ability to sit at desk frequently
  • Ability to use hands and fingers and to reach for and handle objects to perform tasks frequently
  • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow frequently
  • Ability to read and respond due to nature of the work on a frequent basis
  • Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer frequently
  • Ability to listen to customers, problem-solve, and respond frequently
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull, and carry items frequently
  • Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically
  • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise.
  • This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling.
  • Occasional travel for court testimony.
  • This position requires Sunday 9am-5pm, and Monday-Thursday evening hours ending at 7:30pm.
