Position Description:
Job Summary

Program Therapist is responsible for coordinating and providing direct bereavement services to assigned clients, to include completion of intake biopsychosocials, in person intake assessments, individual and family counseling, and/or supporting peer support groups and scheduled in-house camps. Program Therapist may be responsible for supervision of graduate level therapists. Program Therapist will be provided a company laptop by CBCST to allow for completion of assigned administrative duties and work-related projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

A: DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  1. Provide individual bereavement counseling utilizing a trauma informed approach
  2. Manage client caseload in conjunction with Director of Clinical Services and/or support peer support groups in conjunction with Director of Grief Education and Support
  3. Provide supervision of graduate level therapists and/or LPC Associates with approved licensure (2 yrs of practicing LPC Associate for graduate level and LPC-S for LPC Associates)
  4. Provide direct support for in house camp events twice a year and optional summer camps
  5. Provide crisis management response and collaborate with Director of Clinical Services or Director of Grief Support and Education to report any concerns related to clients reporting abuse, or intent to harm self or others, in accordance with state reporting and CBCST guidelines
  6. Report all ethical and safety concerns to Director of Clinical Services and/or Director of Grief Education and Support

B: ADMINISTRATION
  1. Collect relevant client documents for uploading to client file to include intake forms, consents for treatment, custody documentation, etc
  2. Complete session notes and participation tracking within a 48-hour timeframe. All notes for the month must be submitted no later than the first day of the following month
  3. Complete trauma informed treatment plan in appropriate manner
  4. Administer required assessments to include TGCT screener and additional assessments required for all individual clients and enter assessments into appropriate databases
  5. Responsible for uploading all mandated graduate level therapist documentation for site supervision along with their audits during semester to ensure all client documentation uploaded into client files in Apricot

C: COLLABORATION
  1. Maintain professional, collaborative relationships with all CBCST personnel and other collaborative partners
  2. Attend weekly Program clinical team meetings
  3. Participates in awareness/education presentations and events as needed

EDUCATION/SKILLS/TRAINNING AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Masters degree in a relevant field (social work/counseling), clinical licensure of LPC, LCSW or LPC Associate
  2. Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team exhibiting high levels of distress management critical for problem solving and crisis situations preferred
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent CBCST
  4. Experience in grief, loss and trauma for children and adults
  5. Experience in working with diverse and multicultural populations
  6. Strong organizational skills, critical thinking and time management skills and adept at multi-tasking
  7. Proficient use of computers, internet, social media, Microsoft Office suite of programs, and multi-line phone system
  8. Must be familiar with trauma informed approach and prepared to complete Traumatic Grief Component Therapy course when offered by CBCST
Physical Requirements
This office position involves typical periods of sitting, walking, and clinical typing for documentation, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, mobility within the office, and the capacity to work with children of all ages. Clear verbal and written communication, along with basic reaching and dexterity skills, are essential for successful performance.
