NC - Hydraulic Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina at SunSource

Position Summary:
Performs service and repair for hydraulic components.

Responsibilities:
1.Evaluate (http://1.evaluate/), build and test cylinders, pumps and motors.
2.Evaluate (http://2.evaluate/), warranty hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors.
3.Attend (http://3.attend/), advanced training within hydraulic field.
4.Provide (http://4.provide/), hydraulic field service to off-site customers on an as needed basis.
5.Maintain (http://5.maintain/), and ensures acceptable cleanliness levels within hydraulic test area and hydraulic work station.
6.Ensures (http://6.ensures/), safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department.
7.Must (http://7.must/), be able to correctly size, design and select proper seals and sealing material.
8.Able (http://8.able/), to read precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
9.Own (http://9.own/), every basic hand tool and many specialty tools to service hydraulic equipment at an advanced level.
10.Must (http://10.must/), be able to identify component serviceability and level with a high degree of accuracy.
11.Other (http://11.other/),duties as assigned.

General Education and Experience:
1.Education (http://1.education/), —High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required. 2 year fluid power degree or formal training in industrial technology, mechanics or related field in which fluid power is part of the curriculum preferred.

2.Mechanical (http://2.mechanical/), Aptitude – Ability to use a variety of hand tools, to operate a fork lift and crane. Advanced ability to qualify hydraulic components. Advanced ability to use spare parts prints to identify components. Advanced ability to use schematics to identify components work within hydraulic system.

3.Experience (http://3.experience/), — Must have experience in crossing units, tearing down core units, cleaning and preparing hydraulic units. Must have demonstrated ability to assemble and test subassemblies and assemble and test hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors. Experience in measuring and verifying tolerances required.

4.Skills (http://4.skills/), : Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

5.Physical (http://5.physical/), Dexterity—Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday
