Perform Structural Engineering for projects within the Mid-Atlantic region that requires the following;

Responsibilities
Perform Structural Engineering for projects within the Mid-Atlantic region that requires the following;
- Perform field inspections as a team leader to evaluate existing conditions, documents findings and record measurements in the field
- Develop inspection reports, inspection field sketches in CAD, photo appendices and inspection finding recommendations
- Operate inspection equipment (underbridge inspection vehicles, bucket trucks, access lifts etc)
- Prepare detailed plans for new and rehabilitation bridge designs
- Perform engineering design calculations
- Develop contract specifications, construction cost estimates and preparation of contract bid documents
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Concentration (preferred)
- Three-five years of experience in transportation projects for State Agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region preferred (MD, DE, DC, VA)
- FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Certification
- Previous bridge, culvert, ancillary highway structures, and/or tunnel inspection experience
- Experience with FHWA Inventory and Element Level data collection
- OSHA, SPRAT or equivalent training a plus
- Experience with current AASHTO design specifications, design procedures, bridge standards and details, and structural computer models
- Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD
- Good project management, technical writing and communication skills
