Staff Accountant in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs accounting duties requiring sound knowledge of accounting theory and practice including analytical functions. A devotion to customer support, being attentive, kind, and helpful without exception and wise in the use of resources. Responsible for accurate, efficient, and timely completion of assignments and preserving the privacy of confidential matters

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A bachelor's degree with major in accounting, finance, and/or business administration is required. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP). Proficient with general ledger programs and in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions in Excel such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc. Also proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet based financial websites like banking, auditing, and company intranets
