Job Overview

The Data Services Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our donor database. They will utilize various tools and reports to ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of data across multiple systems, with Salesforce NPSP as the central source of truth. This role involves monitoring data integrations, conducting regular maintenance tasks, and facilitating data cleanup projects under the guidance of the Senior Director of Operations. Additionally, the coordinator will collaborate with V Foundation staff to enforce data entry rules, provide training to new users, and maintain a comprehensive inventory of routine data checks.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

65% Database Integrity Management

  • Assist in the integration and maintenance of data across multiple systems, with Salesforce NPSP as the central source of truth.
  • Utilize the Omatic Cloud integration tool to facilitate data integrations and ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of incoming data, identifying issues, and working collaboratively to resolve any problems.
  • Execute duplicate merges and update deceased constituents, bad addresses, and donor solicitation preferences to maintain data consistency.

10% List/Segment Management

  • Create and maintain lists/segments within Salesforce NPSP for targeted engagement efforts.
  • Collaborate with fundraising and engagement teams to identify and implement segmentation strategies.

10% Routine Data Checks

  • Maintain and expand an inventory of routine data checks to ensure data standardization and completeness.
  • Document data entry rules and procedures for future reference.

5% Gift and Biographical Information Validation

  • Review and validate gift and biographical information in Salesforce NPSP.
  • Support V Foundation fundraising and engagement efforts by ensuring data accuracy.

5% Data Integrity Enforcement

  • Work collaboratively with V Foundation staff to enforce data entry rules and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide initial data entry training to new users and offer follow-up support as needed.

5% Data Cleanup/Projects

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations to plan, manage, and implement data cleanup projects.
  • Execute tasks related to data standardization and completeness.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of progressively responsible and diverse administrative experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce NPSP and other relevant database management tools.
  • Prior experience in nonprofit data management or database administration preferred.
  • Experience with Classy, Donor Drive and Omatic Cloud (or integration tools) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Proven ability to maintain systems and processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to multitask and maintain efficiency throughout the duration of tasks, establishing priorities and accomplishing assignments within allotted timeframes.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, and other videoconference software platforms to conduct meetings.
