Patient Service Representative in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for communicating calmly, effectively and professionally with patients and their families both verbally and in writing to answer their questions. The Patient Service Representative will collect outstanding patient balances and establish payment plans.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A high school graduate or equivalent is required. A combined minimum of (3) years’ experience in hospital or physician billing, collections and/or auditing is preferred. Must have knowledge of Texas Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial insurance programs. You must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
