Job Description

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Produces, creates and manages Marketing/PR campaigns and projects for internal and external audiences with input from managers and director. Takes a lead role in effectively communicating about assigned service lines, departments and projects. Independently seeks out and manages new and updated information from assigned clients within the framework of the Marketing/PR Department's review and approval processes.
  • DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:
    • Leads efforts to create and maintain internal and external campaigns for service lines, departments, and special projects such as new procedures, open houses, new personnel, and significant events.
    • Works within the team to ensure every project is completed with high standards for accuracy, timeliness and creativity.
    • Assists managers and director in determining the most effective strategies for meeting communication needs, and follows up accordingly to ensure strategies are carried out to successful completion.
    • Leads efforts—through writing and/or design—to achieve our communication goals. This can include project planning and implementation, graphic design, photography and image editing, writing, online software management, and other methods.
    • Leads efforts to secure pricing from vendors, and helps maintain positive vendor relationships.
    • Assists in the development and management of the departmental budget.
  • EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum requirement:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Graphic Design or other related communication field.
    • Preferred qualifications:
      • Experience working in a healthcare environment.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT
    • This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.
    • Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations
    • The noise level in this position is usually low
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Frequently required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer or while presenting to individuals or groups.
    • Frequently required to move about throughout the Medical Center or while rounding.
    • Constantly required to communicate with people electronically, telephonically and in-person requiring talking and hearing.
    • Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.
    • Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
    • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
