Operating Room Scheduler in Lincoln, Nebraska at Bryan Health

SUMMARY

The OR Scheduler is responsible for coordinating departmental communications through the scheduling of surgical procedures, relaying information to the appropriate personnel, and entering data into the department computer system.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

*Prepares, maintains and updates the master schedule of surgical procedures; communicates changes to appropriate personnel.

*Answers all calls in a courteous and helpful manner; takes complete and accurate messages and relays to appropriate personnel.

*Greets department visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.

*Collaborates with other departments to coordinate exams and treatments, minimizing fragmentation and enhancing patient satisfaction.

*Enters patient data and appointment information into the computer system; maintains accurate patient logs.

*Maintains department computer reference files.

*Delivers medications (drugs or biologicals) received in the surgical suite to the appropriate operating room via case cart or medication cart.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency required. Prior experience utilizing medical terminology desired.
