School Bus Driver duties and responsibilities and job description: A School Bus Driver has many duties outside of driving the bus. Some of the daily requirements of a School Bus Driver includes:

• Ensuring all students comply with safety regulations
• Driving safely and respecting all bus safety guidelines
• Communicating with schools and transportation services, as needed
• Rendering first aid in the event of an emergency on board the bus
• Regularly inspecting the bus for the upkeep and maintenance of seats, heating, and other equipment
• Current BC Class 1 or 2 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement
• A clean driving record and drug testing upon request
• Sound knowledge of the Boys & Girls mission
• Clean criminal record with CORI/SORI and Fingerprints required
• Punctual and reliable
• Exemplary communication skills specifically with children of all ages
• First aid training or a second language, an asset
• Previous experience as a school bus driver
