Maintenance Manager at CERTITEMP, INC. – Macon, Georgia

Position Description: Job Summary- This position is responsible for overseeing the activities and supervision of the Maintenance team, including both electrical and mechanical. Performs a variety of duties relative to the installation, replacement and repair of all types of mechanical and electrical equipment and parts used throughout the plant. Maintain a high standard of safety in a manufacturing setting. Complies with codes and local statutes.

• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines, including correctly and consistently wearing required PPE to work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following corporate and industry safety rules and procedures
• Plan and schedule weekly maintenance
• Responsible for the mentoring of employees for success
• Enter work orders
• Resolve safety issues
• Responsible for documenting and reporting all employee and safety incidents and machine issues
• Schedule contract workers as needed
• Schedule employee work hours and time off
• Direct weekly safety meetings
• Respond to on call requests 24 hours a day
• Fill in on floor as needed
• Order spare parts
• Housekeeping: keeping work areas clean and free of unsafe conditions, report if necessary

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 yrs experience in industrial manufacturing setting
• Interpret equipment instruction manuals, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to include diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Technical understanding and strong communication skills
• 3 years as Maintenance Mechanic
• Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
