Position: Child Care Floater
Type: Full-Time, 37.5-40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm. No nights or weekends!
Location: Bloomsburg, PA
Start Date: ASAP

As a Floater, you’ll support our classrooms across all age groups—bringing energy, flexibility, and a love of learning wherever you go. Under the guidance of the Group Supervisor, you will:

• Engage with children through developmentally appropriate activities
• Plan and implement educational and play-based programming
• Step into classrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
• Foster strong relationships with staff, parents, and children
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
• Conduct developmental assessments and participate in parent-teacher conferences
• Supervise and support aides, volunteers, and other support staff
• Uphold all state and program regulations, including DHS, NAEYC, and STARS standards

• A caring and enthusiastic professional with a genuine love for children
• Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age
• Flexible and dependable, with excellent communication skills
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and engaging in physical play (kneeling, sitting on the floor, etc.)
• Committed to ongoing learning and professional development

• Prior experience in a childcare or early education setting preferred
• Has or is willing to obtain up-to-date clearances, CPR/First Aid certification, and health assessment.
• Is eager to learn and grow through professional development and ongoing training.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Must meet all health and safety requirements (including daily routines like handwashing, brushing teeth with children, etc.)

A high school diploma or a GED and 30 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field;

OR a high school diploma or a GED and 15 credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and one year of experience with children;

OR a high school diploma or GED and two years experience working with children.
