- Exhibit Strong Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to clearly convey design intent, technical details, and project progress.
- Lead Lighting Design: Manage lighting design projects from concept to completion across multiple sectors.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with architects, engineers, and designers to integrate lighting solutions into overall project designs.
- Develop and Present Concepts: Create and present innovative lighting designs, renderings, and photometric studies to clients.
- Perform Technical Analysis: Conduct photometric and LPD calculations to meet design and code requirements.
- Specify Lighting Systems: Select and specify lighting fixtures, controls, and systems balancing design, performance, and cost.
- Ensure Timely Delivery: Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality, on-time project completion.
- Oversee Documentation: Prepare detailed lighting documentation and provide construction phase support.
- Conduct Site Visits: Periodically travel to attend client meetings, site visits, and project reviews as required.
- Mentor Junior Designers: Guide and support entry level designers in developing their skills and expertise.
- Stay Informed: Keep up with lighting technologies and design trends to enhance project outcomes.
- Foster Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Support Business Development: Assist in proposal writing, presentations, and interviews to support business development efforts.
- Minimum: 5+ years of lighting design experience
- Bachelor’s degree OR an accredited professional degree (preferred within the design industry - i.e. architecture, lighting design, interior design, etc.)
- Proficiency in AGI 3.2 or other lighting calculation software
- Moderate experience in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
- 8+ years of lighting design experience
- Professional IALD or IES membership
- LEED or WELL accredited professional
- Lighting Certified (LC) or Certified Lighting Designer (CLD)
- Experience with a variety of project types.
- Possess a high level of proficiency in producing high-quality design drawings, renderings, and visual presentations to communicate design concepts.
- Strong knowledge of lighting codes and regulations
- Experience with lighting control systems design, and emergency egress design requirements.
- Knowledge of emerging lighting technologies
- Strong relationships with local lighting vendor

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 130,000 USD per year(Remote - Seattle, US)
