Performs installation and maintenance of computers and computer peripherals. Performs installation and upgrades of computer software. Performs other assignments as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate Degree or equivalent experience required. Two to three years installation and service of computers, thin clients, printers and other peripherals. Knowledge of all versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems and desktop office applications is a must. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, or Network+, along with experience with Cisco Systems product lines preferred.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of computers and peripherals. Knowledge of ink-jet, laser, and thermal printers. Knowledge of various Microsoft operating systems, office software, and utilities.

- A preference of technical activities in order to keep informed on operation of new equipment and new techniques for operating current machines.
- Ability to deal with people, such as other hospital departmental supervisors to resolve problems, concerns with scheduling, adequacy, and accuracy of data.
- Ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks: communication skills to train personnel confer with other hospital employees and other technical personnel and prepare oral and written reports and records.
- There is moderate level of occasional lifting (40-50 pounds), bending, stooping, or sitting in a confined position.
- Needs to be able to cope with stress that exists on the job.
- Must have the ability to work with a variety of patients of all populations (e.g. developmentally appropriate care, cultural diversity, patients with pain, victims of abuse or neglect, and diagnosis or procedure specific such as patient with congestive heart failure or cesarean delivery).
