Outpatient Services Coordinator in Gridley, California at Orchard Hospital

Summary/Objective

Orchard Hospital’s Outpatient Services Coordinator will assist Orchard Hospital in delivering excellent, high-quality care, close to home. They will do this by assisting patients with their check-in process, scheduling, follow-up, reminders, and questions about their outpatient services. They will work closely with the department director to create and execute on goals that improve workflow for the technicians, physicians, and patients.

Pay Range : $21.00 - $25.20

• Utilize referral and electronic medical record software to schedule pending orders. Function as the beginning contact for support needs by patients, providers, and other staff.
• Assists patients and provider offices with scheduling ordered exams/procedures.
• Sends mammography letters and notifications to patients and referring providers.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.
• Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities and recommends process improvement initiatives.
• Maintains and helps support multiple applications and systems, including a radiology, laboratory, cardiopulmonary and other information systems.
• Work with patients and payors to explain benefits and work with patients on payment options.
• Full understanding and ability to ensure MQSA certification requirements are met.
• Provide appointment preparation information and follow-up for procedures such as Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Mammogram, DEXA, and X-ray.
• Assist provider offices with authorizations and order entry to ensure a seamless entry for patients needing services from the departments, including ensuring the study meets medical necessity.
